Energy Kinesiology pointers for Homologous Movement Patterns
Energy Kinesiology is a powerful tool for assessing and correcting energetic imbalances, synthesizing Traditional Chinese Medicine and Osteopathic and Chiropractic methods. It is a complex subject that requires experience to master. However, there is a subset of these tools which is more easily accessible to lay practitioners and therapists new to the modality. This subset of techniques is collated in the book:
TOUCH FOR HEALTH THE COMPLETE EDITION
John and Matthew Thie
Homologous muscle testing tests the same muscle bilaterally, simultaneously. Ideally, although this is challenging to do, test a bilateral upper and lower body bilateral muscle together. This is possible with the Pectorals and Quadriceps, and a few other sets of flexors or extensions. The primary intent is to trigger the automaticity that enables the muscles to act as a pair. Push-ups and pull-ups are examples.
The techniques described below can be used to assess imbalances that correlate with the model presented in this website. By using the technique as described in the book, if an imbalance is revealed it can then be corrected as described in the book, or used as an assessment for the other therapeutic protocols as organized here.
